Q. What types of stone countertops do you offer?
A. We offer a wide range of stone countertop options, including quartz, granite, marble and quartzite. We provide free estimates that include a variety of options and there are plenty of options to suit your budget!
Q. How durable are stone countertops?
A. Stone countertops are renowned for their durability. Granite and quartz, in particular, are highly resistant to scratches, heat, and stains, making them suitable for high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
Q. Is quartz better than granite?
A. We are often asked this question. The answer really lies in what you are looking to achieve in look, feel and performance in your new countertops. There is no right or wrong answer! There are positives and negatives to either option and we are happy to go over this with you!
Q. What is your process from start to finish?
A.
- We provide you with an estimate, based on either a drawing of your layout or a site visit by one of our team.
- Selection of stone, either by choosing from a sample or visiting our supplier’s warehouses to view the full slabs. We also supply sinks and faucets!
- Templating your cabinets. Once your cabinets and structures are completely in place, we would template using fluted plastic sheets to ensure accuracy. If you are supplying sinks, they should be on site at this time. Seam locations, edge profiles and any necessary supports are also discussed at this time.
- Fabrication of your countertops as per the template occurs next.
- Installation of your countertops is scheduled next, taking usually about 4-5 hours and possibly more if removal and disposal is done by us. A second visit may be necessary if we are doing backsplash, which requires precise measurements once your new countertops are in place.
Q. Do you provide warranties on your countertops?
A. Yes, we stand behind the quality of our workmanship. We offer a one year warranty from installation date to defects in workmanship or for chip repairs, etc.
Q. How do I maintain my stone countertops?
A. Stone countertops are relatively low maintenance. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is usually sufficient to keep them looking their best. We also recommend sealing natural stone countertops periodically to protect against stains and moisture.
Q. Can stone countertops be repaired if they get damaged?
A. Minor damage, such as small scratches or chips, can often be repaired by our team. For more significant damage, we can assess the situation and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
